Starship S31
Ship 31 and Booster 13 are scheduled for launch as part of Flight Test 6 on Nov 19, 2024. The Superheavy Booster 13 is planned to be caught by the tower’s chopsticks. Ship 31 will attempt a daylight re-entry in the Indian Ocean near Australia.
What's new?
-Ship 31 has a logo of a “Banana for scale” on the right side near the flap.
-Heat shield tiles on either side of Starship have been removed in order to study catch-enabling hardware on future vehicles.
-New set of tiles are present on the left wing.
-Ship will attempt an in-space burn using a single Raptor engine.
-A late afternoon launch will enable the ship to reenter over the Indian Ocean in daylight, providing better conditions for visual observations.
