Ship 34 and Booster 15 were successfully launched as part of Flight Test 8 on March 6, 2025. This was the second flight of a Block 2 Ship. The mission was planned to test the deployment system for 4 Starlink simulator satellites. During the initial burn, the Ship 34 engines experienced premature shutdowns, followed by a loss of telemetry. Video showed one of the Raptors missing. The vehicle exploded.

SuperHeavy Booster 15 successfully returned to the launch site and was caught by the launch tower chopsticks. This was the third booster recovered.
