STS-120 Payload "Harmony" Node 2 / 10A Discovery was launched on Oct 23, 2007 on a mission to the ISS carrying the Node 2 "Harmony". It was assembly sequence 10A. This module became the second Node after Unity (Node 1) was launched in 1998. Node 2 has 4 ports for future utilization as the Space Station expands. Initially after Discovery docked to the ISS, Node 2 was temporarily placed on the Unity (Node 1) port common Berthing mechanism. Once the shuttle undocked from the ISS, Dan Tani, member of the Expedition 16 relocated the Node 2 "Harmony" and attached it to Destiny Lab as the final destination via the Space Station's Canadarm2. This papermodel of Node 2 has two versions, one for the payload bay and the second for Station assembly. The difference is more details on the exterior of the module and more handrails as well. Information was obtained through NASA website and the photo gallery section. Other technical information was obtained from Robotics and EVA documentation for this mission as well. This model initially was offered as FREE model when this website celebrated its First Anniversary on Oct. 2007 and is still available for free download. The ESP-2 configuration for this mission has been added to this page and is available for download for both 1:144 and 1:100 scales.
