The Irvine CubeSat STEM Program (ICSP) was created in 2015 by Dr. Brent Freeze and Mr Kain Sosa. CDR. Ronnie Nader from The Ecuadorian Space Agency (EXA) provided its space technology delivering the KRYSAOR-class solar deployable arrays DSA-1, the Pegasus-class battery banks BAO1/S, the NEMEA anti radiation and thermal shields, titanium structural components and magnetorquers for attitude control. Besides EXA, other prestigious institutions participated in this project like the MIT, Brown University, Montana State University, California State Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo, Tuvalu, Sorlox, Bilingual Interactive, Accion Systems and Innovative Space Logistics. The project is funded through the Irvine Public Schools Foundation (IPSF). High School Participants: Beckman HS, Irvine HS, Northwood HS, Portola HS, University HS and Woodbridge HS.
